November 22, 2010 – Bryan Finlay Wins The Bounce Showdown!

The Bounce Showdown #7 winner is 17-year-old Bryan Finlay of Edmonton! The crowd at Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre in Edmonton this past weekend went absolutely nuts for Bryan!  He not only sings, but also plays the guitar, keyboard and trumpet. Thanks to 91.7 The Bounce, Bonnie Doon Shopping Cetnre for hosting the event as well as everyone that came out to participate! Look out for new music from Bryan real soon!!

November 8th, 2010 – M for Montreal – H for Hipjoint!

Mike and Troy have been invited to host a panel this year at the uber-cool M for Montreal music conference taking place November 17th to 20th 2010! The panel is called It’s All About That One Good Song: The Ins And Outs Of Great Songwriting and will feature some amazing songwriters sharing their knowledge. You heard right the seventh 91.7 Bounce FM – Bounce Showdown is about to take place at Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre in Edmonton, November 20th-21st,2010. If you live within 150km of Edmonton and would like to possibly follow in the foot steps of previous winners such as Kreesha Turner and Shiloh, please come out and take part! Here are the details. While in Los Angeles this past week, the Hipjoint boys had the pleasure of writing with Island Def Jam recording artist Jenna Andrews and Universal Music Publishing songwriter Amie Meriello. The result? Good times and two more great songs!

October 29th, 2010 – Phil Lehmann is Busy Busy Busy!

Our very own Phil Lehmann has been run off his feet producing cool Vancouver based indie folk/pop band The Oh Wells, writing and producing for pop artist Jessica Brock, writing with Break Out West Pop Album of The Year winner Laurell, as well as collaborating with UK hit maker Peter Wright.
