October 13th, 2010 – Brock is Back!

Brock Zanrosso is headed back to the Hipjoint studio this week to work on some new music with Troy and Mike! We’re excited to have him back and we’ll be sure to post the new project as soon as its ready. Brock was busy this summer shooting two music videos. Here’s Edge (End of the World):

October 10th, 2010 – Kreesha Turner Bounces Back to Hipjoint

Kreesha Turner was back in the Hipjoint House to write new material with Troy and Mike. It was really great to see her and we’re pretty stoked about the results! Stay tuned!

Mike & Troy recently created a great new track for Toronto based up-and-coming pop star Hilary Weaver . Look for Blind Spot to be hitting airwaves soon!

October 8th, 2010 – Erica and The Lost Girl ‘Bounce With Me’!

Kreesha Turner’s Bounce With Me continues to be popular with television industry. Listen for it on upcoming episodes of CBC‘s Being Erica as well as Lost Girl on the Showcase Network!

October 8th, 2010 – You & Me and Justin Blais

2009′s Bounce Showdown Winner Justin Blais has just released his latest music video for his single You & Me. The song was written and produced by Troy and Mike on Justin’s second visit to Hipjoint back in November of last year. Take a look:

October 5th, 2010 – Stef Lang Tour Wrap Up !

The Stef Lang gang wrapped up the tour in the US of A at the university of Missouri! Stef has posted some photo and video highlights on her Tour Blog and facebook. She’s excited to be back and ready to make more music! September 29th, 2010 – Hipjoint Makes One Angry Juror

Hipjoint song Things Are Gonna Get Better was cleared for usage on the Lifetime network original movie One Angry Juror starring Grey’s Anatomy star Jessica Capshaw. The film premiers on November 15th.

September 22nd 2010 – We’ve Got A Crush On Isabelle!

Isabelle Stern one of six hopeful finalists on YTV’s talent search show The Next Star recently shot the video for her Hipjoint written and produced track I’ve Got A Crush On You. Isabelle was paired up with Mike and Troy for the show and had a chance to hang out and work with the them. The video looks great! Good Luck Isabelle!!

September 13th, 2010 – Meet Beatrice Love!

2010 Bounce Showdown winner Beatrice Love was in the Hipjoint Studio in August recording two new songs. Production is just wrapping up and is sounding great! Keep your ears open for Genuine and Not Your Typical Girl! In the meantime, you can visit Beatrice on her facebook page and get a preview of the tracks. Sweet!

September 1st, 2010 – Degrassi Triple Threat!!

Three Hipjoint tracks have recently been approved for usage in upcoming episodes of our favorite teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation! They are Stef Lang’s Diamonds, Rick Threat’s The Booty Song and Keep On Movin’ by The Young Goulets.

September 1, 2010 – Let’s Go Earthbound!

Let’s Go has done it again! This time the song has been licenced for use in the upcoming rom-com film Earthbound starring Kate Hudson and Gael Garcia Bernal. Get your popcorn and tissue!

August 24th, 2010 – Hipjoint Latency

Brandon Lehti lead singer of local group The Latency visited Hipjoint and wrote a great new track with Troy and Mike. The boys are currently putting together their new record for release in the near future.

Suzie McNeil was back yet again at Hipjoint writing with Mike and Troy! She is currently compiling material for her new album as well as enjoying a jury position on Season 3 of YTV’s The Next Star.

August 20th, 2010 -Marissa Hangs With Hipjoint

Much Music DisBAND survivor, the amazing Marissa Dattoli formerly of the band Good & Broken spent time creating new music with Troy and Mike, as well as Hipjoint writer Phil Lehmann on their recent trip to Toronto.

August 16th, 2010 – Stef Lang Canadian Tour Booked!!

Look out Canada Stef Lang is coming for you! Stef has been booking shows all across this nation from Duncan, BC all the way across the prairies to Ontario with a couple of US dates as well! August 10th, 2010 – Push The Walls with Brock!

2009′s YTV Next Star runner up Brock Zanrosso released his very first music video for his Hipjoint written and produced track Push The Walls! The video was directed by Colin Carter, DOP Pasha Patriki for Statik Motion Pictures. Request and watch for it on Much Music. Congratulations Brock!

August 10th, 2010 – Stef Lang Passes 10,000 Singles Sold!!

Stef Lang’s debut single Mr. Immature from her album The Underdog, continues to be one of the most heard songs in Canada which is driving a steady stream of sales that is about to pass the 10,000 singles mark! With a fall tour booked and a second single about to be serviced, Stef’s upward trajectory should continue through the fall and on toward Christmas. Stef also recently shot the video for Mr. Immature with director Craig Nisperos while she was on a writing trip in New York!

July 22nd, 2010 – Mr. Immature Chasing Top 10!!

Stef Lang’s first single continues to grow in Canada as we now set our sights on Top 10! Mr. Immature is currently #18 CHR and #15 Hot AC and still growing according to the latest BDS numbers! Stef has made huge inroads in the last month, spending time promoting herself all over Canada and the US. Look out!

July 20th, 2010 – Mike and Troy Break the Camera

Hipjoint’s fearless leaders made their TV debut last week as guest writers/producers on YTV’s young talent search show,
“The Next Star”. Their job was to mentor a young artist through the writing and recording process. All went well and soon kids across Canada will idolize Mike, Troy and all things Hipjoint! On a side note their own kids are preparing to be beaten up regularly at school. There’s talk of a “Dumb & Dumber” remake-we’ll let you know… Check out Episode 6!
